Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This position offers maternity leave coverage for Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) within an elementary school setting. The role requires providing services aligned with school-based speech and language therapy needs, with some opportunities for virtual work. Candidates should hold Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) and relevant educational certification for Minnesota schools.
Location: Hopkins, MN (Elementary School setting)
Duration: Contract covering current school year maternity leaves
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language pathology services to students per individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Deliver assessment, intervention, and progress monitoring related to speech and language needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support student communication goals.
- Manage caseload efficiently, ensuring compliance with state education certification requirements and school guidelines.
- Adapt service delivery to both in-person and virtual models as appropriate.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid license with Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Minnesota Tier 3 or 4 Education Certificate for school-based SLPs.
- Experience with school-aged children, particularly in elementary education settings.
- Open to virtual service provision; virtual candidates must currently be employed in Minnesota and adhere to state maximum work hour regulations.
- Candidates cannot be Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs); only fully licensed or clinical fellows considered.
Additional Information:
- Multiple maternity leave assignments available between January and March with varying virtual and onsite hours.
